SharePoint 2007 for Internet

Most smaller organizations who are looking to consolidate their enterprise content management are going to be looking towards SharePoint Server 2007 to hopefully answer those needs.

What you may not necessarily understand that in order to turn on MOSS 2007 to face internally and externally, there is a fairly complex licensing arrangement.

Choosing a SharePoint 2007 Edition

As I stated in my last post, the different editions of MOSS 2007 will be offering a whole series of new features and capabilities.Microsoft has released a series of comparisons between previous and new versions. You can view the HTML version here, and you can download a version for Excel here.

Microsoft SharePoint 2007 Licensing

With the launch of Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 comes the exciting opportunity to figure out licensing for the new products. In my role as business development manager, I get to help our customers figure out what products are best for their environment and in many cases that means figuring out how people should select products.

The first part of this series will begin with a comparison of previous products to new products.

Time and time again, I start a blog, only to have it forgotten. This time, I figured it would be prudent to put together a new blog based primarily on my professional experiences - which should give me at least something to write about.
